Contract management software in France: which tools ChatGPT, Gemini and Google AI Mode recommend

We asked ChatGPT, Gemini and Google AI Mode, in French, 12 questions that French legal, sales, finance and HR teams ask when they choose contract management (CLM) software: drafting and approval workflows, AI extraction, renewals, templates, hosting in France. International platforms are named in most answers. French tools are named in about half as many, and they own the questions about France.

The international platforms lead

DocuSign CLM is named in 21 of the 36 answers, Juro in 18, Icertis in 15 and Ironclad in 14. On the questions about legal workflows (drafting and approval, negotiation in Word, extracting data from scanned contracts with AI), Icertis, Ironclad, DocuSign CLM and Agiloft take almost every answer. PandaDoc comes up on contracts for sales teams.

The French tools win the questions about France

Tomorro is the French tool named most, in 12 answers, ahead of Gino LegalTech (9) and Leeway (7). When they are named, they come early: Tomorro's average position is 1.8. On the question about the best AI contract management software for a B2B scale-up in France, all three AI models name Tomorro first. On the question about contract software with data hosted in France, the answers name French tools only: Hyperlex for ChatGPT, Gino LegalTech, Tomorro and Leeway for Gemini, Gino LegalTech for Google AI Mode.

Google AI Mode names French tools twice as often as ChatGPT

Google AI Mode names a French tool in 9 of its 12 answers, Gemini in 6, ChatGPT in 4. Tomorro is in 6 of Google AI Mode's answers and 1 of ChatGPT's. ChatGPT leans on the American platforms: Ironclad and Agiloft are named most by ChatGPT. On the question about tracking renewal dates for a finance director, ChatGPT and Gemini name none of the tracked tools.

The sources behind the answers

The answers cite 68 different websites. The one cited most is contractmanagement.fr, a French site about contract management, in 10 answers. The vendors' sites follow: docusign.com and ironcladapp.com in 9 answers, agiloft.com, icertis.com, juro.com and dilitrust.com in 6. Ironclad's help center is cited in 4 more.

What this means for B2B software vendors

• Local questions are a local vendor's best ground. On hosting in France and on scale-ups in France, the French tools are named first. A vendor that states clearly where its data is hosted and which customers it serves gives the AI models the facts these answers need.
• Enterprise workflows go to the platforms with the most documentation. Ironclad's help center is cited on its own. Detailed product and help pages are read and quoted.
• A specialist site in your language can weigh more than any vendor. contractmanagement.fr is the first source. Being described there matters as much as being described on your own site.
• The AI models do not see the same market. A French tool named in half of Google AI Mode's answers can be almost absent from ChatGPT's. Visibility has to be checked model by model.

Method

12 questions in French, written as French legal, sales, finance and HR teams would ask them, from the offer of one of the tools tracked (Tomorro). Each question was asked once to ChatGPT (gpt-6, with web search), Gemini (Flash-Lite) and Google AI Mode, from France, on October 16, 2026: 36 answers. We counted the answers naming each of 11 tracked tools (names and common spellings), their position among the tracked names of the answer, and the websites cited.

This is a snapshot: three models, one day and 12 questions. AI answers vary from one session to the next, so a difference of one or two answers between two tools is not significant. Tools we did not track, such as Sirion or GetAccept, are not counted, although their sites are cited.
